Connecting a home theater system to a 52 in LCD TV.?

We have a Samsung DVD player that has a speaker system home theater, how I connect to my LCD TV? also have our cable box also connected. Can someone please explain?

The cable must have some specialized audio output ports for this purpose. Looking for digital audio calls (sometimes are orange, circular, sometimes black and square, and there are some other variants as well). That's what I want to use to power the DVD player / receiver. So then go to the DVD player / receiver and studying the kinds of audio inputs has. Must be at least one (or more) of the digital options. They also take other forms, but the digital option will better quality. So once you find match types, who just bought the cable needed for this. If both have the digital audio port orange, which is looking digital coaxial. Everything you need is a cable like this, http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-PureAV-AV20100-06-Digital-Coaxial/dp/B0001XGQV8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257011711&sr=8-2 But if both are square ish port, a digital optical port and you want / need a Toslink cable like this, http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-AV20000-06-PureAV-Digital-Optical/ dp/B0001VWHH2/ref = sr_1_9? ie = UTF8 & s = electronics & qid = 1257011767 & sr = 1-9 These are just examples but feel free to look around for other options, better prices. There is something called Toslink Mini. I personally have not found that in A / V gear, but it exists. So you can read the manual to Samsung and the cable box and see if you are taking or that. Once again, I doubt it, but it's a possibility. Then, when watching TV, make sure the volume the TV is set to 0 (thus not using the TV speakers). And set the Samsung DVD player / receiver with digital input line in. If you have the TV speakers as well, sometimes you can get a slight echo effect, because the TV speakers and home theater speaker will be a fraction out of sync. That's why we must be one or the other, not both.
