$34.95 WHILE I SHOULD BE FLATTERED THAT ANOTHER SELLER IS USING PICTURES OR OUR MOUNTS TO SELL THEIRS, IT IS REALLY NOT FAIR TO THE CONSUMER OR US. If it looks like our projector mounts but doesn't say "Projector-Gear" in the title, it is not a REAL Projector-Gear mount. How can I troubleshoot pincushion in a Sanyo PLV-Z2000?
I just went and bought a Sanyo PLV-Z2000 and mounted on the ceiling of my room. I connected my HD satellite box into the HDMI port and everything looks good, however, there is a cushion effect as a computer monitor on the screen -, seems as if the image is being pushed on top. I also noticed that the bottom of the screen appears to move up to the right. I've looked through manual and configuration, to find no answer. Anyone have any ideas?
Before blaming the screen to consider if you have the projector mounted correctly. If the image is not centered properly or perpendicular to the screen that will do what you describe. For example, if the Projectra leans down to reach the screen (it ie not horizontal), the image will be closer on the top, and if a little off center, so you can give a skewed lower edge. While cornerstone adjustments can be corrected, you can actually degrade the image somewhat uneven, due to the need to enlarge the image during correction. It is always best to avoid the use of distortion trapezoidal. Maybe you have aimed the projector based on the default settings, but should have used the lens of compensation adjustments. I hope this gives you some ideas.
