Opinions on the Toshiba SD3990 DVD player and DVD / Combo SDV394?
Because of my Apex AD 1500 the verge of death, I will be in need of a player DVD again. Checked out BestBuy today and two players who hit my attention was the Toshiba SD3990 and DVD / VCR Combo SDV394. Both seemed to have its benefits. quite most of what I'm looking for a DVD player that can play VCDs and DVDs with ease. I have a lot of my Apex VCD and play anything you threw at it. Now I also have some rare horror movies on VHS and a video bay with the DVD player would be nice, but I hear that the combos arent that great quality. Not many comments seem out of these two players so if anyone has owned one of these machines, please tell me what I think. Thanks
I have the Toshiba combo, but I read a lot of consumer reviews on combo units. The Toshiba is what I wanted to buy. It ended with the Sony because is the best I've found in stock at local stores. I was lucky and got a good one (which seem to be hit or miss on the basis of examinations). The Toshiba unit generally better review. The combo units are convenient if you still play a VHS. They do not have one "or larger on-line DVD player or VCR while … just fine. I'm pretty happy with the Sony. If you have a video player can continue to use and have HDTV … or are considering upgrading to HDTV in the near term … You may be better served by a state more "art" DVD player with more options and features for a better picture of HDTV.
